Our Engagement Announcement

Angela and I had an excellent wedding shower heald for us on February 17. Marcia, Aunt Pat and Aunt Julie hosted the party at Marcia's house. All of my relatives were there and we got tons of cool presents! We have pictures of them, but I am not going to put them up here unless people start asking for them.

I am looking forward to another couples night, but we haven't been able to set a date yet. Speak your mind on the forum.

As for my bachelor party, we do not have an official plan yet, however, I do think that it will be held officially on May 5th. Plan on also going out on May 10th. But don't call it a bachelor party because I should only get one(according to some people). Maybe someday Eric will update us on the BP status.

All Better - not sick any more!!

This week Angela and I purchased a new washing machine. We did some serious research and decided to buy what I believe is the best. The brand name: Fisher & Paykel. Check it out - it truly is awesome. I won't go into details here, but if you want them, just ask, I will be glad to give you the dirt (hee hee) on this washing machine.

We have nearly locked down a hotel to reserve rooms at for the wedding. I will have new details really soon on that. I would appreciate a count of how many people would like to get hotel rooms so I can plan accordingly. One of the hotels that we are looking at will provide free shuttle to and from the reception hall!! I think we will be going with them.

Here is a preliminary map for the wedding invitation. Let me know if you have any thoughts about it.

I am sicker than a dog - or at least I was. Today is Friday, on Tuesday and Wednesday I went to work and felt horrible. Wednesday night, my loving fiancee suggested that I take my temperature. It was 103.3! Needless to say, I haven't done much since. I think that I am getting better!

Today we got a lot of snow. That means that tomorrow, I get to run the ole' snow blower again! sounds like fun, it would be better if I was healthy though. Enough of my rambling, I put up pictures from New Years Eve. I hope you enjoy.

All members of Gilly's Place can now put dates up on the dates page - I would like to see us make good use of this dates page. It could help to organize some fun events. Also - soon you will be able to e-mail all the members of Gilly's Place! Let me know if you can think of any other features that would be valuable to this site.

(Later in the Day) I was bored at home here, so I made some other small changes. You will notice on the home page that the latest forum post date is displayed as well as the next important date. I also changed some words on that page. The dates page now has the member menu at the bottom as well.

Happy New Year everybody! I thought I would try out this web page stuff, with Scott's help of course. Just wanted to give everybody a little update about our wedding. The ceremony will be held May 12, 2001 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Peoria at 3:30pm, with a dinner reception following at Ravina on the Lakes at 6:00pm.

Girls, mark your calenders for a double Bachelorette Party on April 28. My maid of honor, Becky, and I will be partying it up on the same night because she is getting married the weekend after Scott and me. More details to come...
