6/22/2000: I have been very busy since our offer on the house has been accepted! We met with a lawyer, called about insurance, contacted my mutual funds (to get some money out), talked to various banks, set up a termite inspection, and many other things. Angela and I are very excited and can't wait to show everyone the house. We have spent a good amount of time furniture shopping already! It really has been fun! There sure is a lot of stuff to do when you buy a house. This Saturday is the big party at my parents house! The beer has been reserved and there has even been an extra toilet ordered for the event. Just bring people to party with!! See you then... The forum is getting some action finally...Thanks Bob. If you forgot your password you can always ask me for it. 6/18/2000: THE SEARCH IS OVER!! We have found a house. Click Here for Details On Saturday Angela and I went and looked at two FSBOs (For Sale By Owner). We had already seen everything that was available to the realtors. After viewing these two houses, Angela mother told us about this other house on Marshall. We called and they let us look at the house right then. So Angela and I and her parents went to look at it. IT WAS AWESOME!! Then we called my parents and took them back to the house. After my parents went through the house we sat at the table with the other couple and made that nerve wrecking decision. The exciting part where I bid on the house has been clipped from this page. (I have been told that it is not correct to tell everyone how much you paid for your house) Oh yeah, about that house in Westview Hills. Someone bid on it on Thursday. Our realtor almost got us into a bidding war. I did make an offer on it, but I am not disappointed at all any more! 6/12/2000: I am just always filled with good news!! On Sunday, I got a friggin' speeding ticket. Yes I know, most of you are saying "It's about time!" I was caught going 80 in a 65 zone. On my way back from Moline. Why Moline, you ask. I was at a graduation party for one of Angela's family members. It was fun to meet the family. They were very nice people. Oh well - a little court supervision and I will be back on my way! PS - does anyone know where the Henry county court house is? We may have found a house. Going to take our parents to in on Friday, if it is not yet sold. It is located in Westview Hills. Click HERE for more information Big party at my place on the 24th. Starts at 4 and food will be served. Another important note: Bob will be home from June 30th to July 5th. There will probably be something going on for that as well. Perhaps we could get some suggestions in the forum... 6/5/2000: Pam Briggs, Kevin's mother passed away on Saturday morning. The visitation is tonight from 5 to 8 and the funeral is tomorrow at 10 AM. On a happier note, Angela's 23rd birthday is tomorrow! and Katie Gilles is still hosting a party at her parents house on Friday, June 9th. Everyone is invited. 6/2/2000: Last Sunday Angela and I went looking at houses. We found a really nice one that we both liked a lot. After going through it two more time with both of our parents, we have put the house on hold. However, house shopping in general has greatly increased. Last night we went and looked at 7 house! Most of them were crap, but there were a couple nice ones. We are quickly learning what to look for and what we like. I think that we will purchase a house in the next 2 months. If Angela had here page up, she could give you her opinion. On Wednesday night, Angela and I went to First Capital Bank to learn all about loans, points, ARMs, and other goodies. We also got preapproved for a loan!! Soon, I will be and expert on houses and loans. 5/25/2000: Wow! What a busy week! Kevin has been home and we have partied like no tomorrow! On Friday(before Kevin arrived) we played cards. Big Crowd - Jack Cook finally won. Vieley and Gundy were there as well. On Saturday we hung out at Schooners 'til about 12:30 and drank free beer, compliments of Jack Cook. Kevin got smashed. He was passed out and sleeping on Vieley's shoulder. Then we all went down to Gilligans and other downtown bars. Left there around 4 AM. On the way home, I ran over a deer with my car. It was laying in the middle of the exit 102 ramp. So we stopped the car, called the cops and hung out with the dead deer. After the cop left, we loaded up the deer and took it out to my house. (For some reason, We thought that my dad might want it) Woke him up at 5 AM or so. Then after disposing of the deer, we headed back to my house and Vieley and I cooked pan cakes for the others (Eric, Kevin, Chad, Spiez). I got to bed around 7 in the morning. Sunday Mike, Kevin, Dave and I went to the Silver Bullet in East Peoria for a late dinner. Got to play Golden Tee Fore! for the first time. Pretty cool game!! I can't wait for Schooners to get it. Monday was a typical Schooners night. Angela and I left around 10PM. Good thing we got out of there, cuz The others ended up staying until close and then going back to Christina Young's house and drank until 3AM. Wednesday night Eric, Kevin, Bag, Chad & family, and I went to Joe's Crab Shack. That place is really cool. It is right on the Peoria River Front. I drank 1/2 yards of Killians! After Joe's we met up with Wrhel at Champs. There we played darts and enjoyed some walks in the park. DON'T FORGET ABOUT JUNE 24th. Big party at my place!! 5/18/2000: Yesterday was my one year anniversary at Stellar Systems. Angela and Becky will be hosting a big bash at their apartment on Friday, May 26, 2000. BYOB. Party starts at 8 PM. Hope to see everyone there. My mother and I are teaming up to host a super bash on June 24th. It will be an engagement / Birthday party. I would expect there to be three kegs. All of my immediate family will be invited. It should be an all day affair, including food, beer and out door games. 5/12/2000: I forgot about this: I am planning a big card party on the 19th of May. This will be the last time to take money from Jack Cook. It should be a large party with lots of money exchanged! 5/10/2000: Chuck writes: The LAN party was excellent! We had 35 guys there. 8 guys from Chicago and 6 guys from Decatuer. Shaun is turns 25 today. Be sure and give him a hard time. (Man that is old!) On a sad note, Grandpa Bob is doing very poorly at the hospital. I don't think that he will be alive much longer :( :( :( :(. On a happier note: My mother is hosting and engagement / birthday party on the 24th of June. More details to come, but expect an all day thing with food, fire, hot tub, cards, pool(billiards), bachee? ball, etc! So mark your calendar! NOW THIS IS GOOD!!
