California Vacation

October 14th to October 22nd, 2000

I have a ton of pictures from this trip! I had to make good use out of my digital camera! So to keep you entertained and speed up your down load process, I have sifted through the 150+ pictures that I took and picked out the best 80 of them. Ya that is a lot of pictures, but HEY, Angela and I did a lot of things on this trip!

The Story

The first part of our trip was up to Chicago to catch our plane. We spent the night in the Chicago O'hare Marriot. It was a very nice hotel. We got the room through Priceline.com for $40. What a deal!!

After catching our plane we arrived in Long Beach, CA around 3 PM. We grabbed our bags and headed straight to The Yard House. That place it just the coolest.

On Sunday morning, we got up and started our trip to Fabulous Las Vegas. The trip was good, but sadly I was in the car when the RAIDERS wooped up on the Kansas City Cheifs. I did get to listen to the 4th quarter of the game on AM radio!. The rest of the ride I spent reading gambling books to Bob and I, getting prepared to clean house in Vegas.

Vegas was great! We stayed at the Circus Circus. We didn't spend a lot of time gambling, but I did come out ahead $150! Angela lost about $30. I would say that we did pretty good. During the rest of our stay in Vegas we went site seeing. I have always loved Vegas, and went a little bit crazy taking pictures. Everything there is just so cool! Below are some picture pages:

After 2 days in Vegas, we headed back to Van Nuys, CA. Our next adventure was Universal Studios. There were a ton of cool rides and sites to see at Universal Studios.

On Thursday, Angela and I rented a car and headed to the Aquarium in Long Beach (Pretty close to Tequilla Jacks and the Yard House). We saw tons of cool fish and other water creatures. I got some need photos there as well. By the way, there were like 4 field trips there and Angela and I both agreed that kids are very annoying!!!

Friday, we dropped Bob of at work and went to Rodeo Drive and Hollywood. I had already seen these sites, but really wanted to go again with Angela.

On Saturday we went to Six Flags - Magic Mountain. No Photos, I decided to just enjoy the rides with out having to worry about the camera. Most of the rides are the same as Six Flags - Great America, but with different names. It was still really awesome! An interesting note - when we left the park, it was a whopping 50 degrees out side! Very cold for California.

Sunday we headed home. Left Bob's at 8 in the morning and didn't make it back to the house until 11 PM. LONG DAY!! (we did have to rearrange our flight schedule due to technical troubles)

Great Trip!! It was great to see and visit with Bob and Jen. It was great to go to Vegas. It was great to be with Angela. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
